The participants will take a cooking lessons in which they will learn how to prepare traditional
Dalmatians dishes like peka and soparnik or how to bake bread under peka. That interactive lesson
will be moderated by Dalmatian housewife and chef and will be very active, so maximal concentration
from the participants is necessary.
Meals prepared under the so-called peka are very popular in whole Dalmatia. A large metal bell covered with hot coals and glowing ash helps produce a phenomenal taste merger of the various ingredients.
Soparnik is traditional meal from the region of Split. It’s baked, rolled, stuffed with spinach and coated with olive oil and garlic. Program includes tasting a variety of homemade brandies and the consumption of the food that has been prepared.
